Take Hart?

Last night, Joe Hart spilled and Peter Crouch pounced at the Olympic Stadium to give Stoke the lead.

Goalkeeping mistakes stick long in the mind. And with the World Cup 2018 squads taking shape, at least in the minds of the national managers, will Hart’s mistake see his name crossed off Southgate’s shortlist?

Here’s hoping not. Hart is England’s most experienced keeper and still worth one of the three gloved-up places in the squad.

He might not be your number one No.1, but he’s still worthy of a seat with his name on it on the Russia-bound plane.

Who would be the England Goalkeeping Three you’d take to the 2018 World Cup?

Panini Pano-no

Sticker me angry.

Panini, I got, got, got it that you need to raise prices to keep pace with inflation.

But I need, need, need you to raise it less than the 50% hike you’ve placed on a pack of five. This ain’t cigarettes we’re talking about.

Have you hired a super-expensive pro snapper to take the player profile shots?

Are you printing the foil stickers on genuine silver?

Come on.

Kids everywhere will be shaking piggy banks harder than a Baresi tackle. Parents emptying wallets faster than a stadium with the home team losing 4-0.

Who's not bothering with their sticker album this World Cup because of the price rise?

Russia World Cup 2018: Nervy Agent Time

The build-up to the Russia 2018 World Cup is a nervous time for many, not least football agents.

Will their clients stay healthy for the rest of the domestic season and get selected to represent their nation in the biggest sporting showcase of them all?

What a shop window!

A great performance in the 2018 World Cup could add several noughts to the value of a player. A relative unknown could become a household name.

Football agents know their clients have got to be in it for them to win it in the wallet.

But take their foot off the gas in the domestic league run-in and a player could easily lose their place in the squad.

How would you play it if you were a player? Give it your all and hope you don't get injured, or lift your foot off the gas a little and hope you stay fresh and get away with it?
